On the last day of the spring term, the 5 Rosebery girls that are coming with us to Tanzania in August organised a Mufti Day. We just received a WHOPPING cheque for £935.29!!! Good job girls
It’s official. Birds have been moving in to their new ‘built by 7th Epsom Tanzania Scouts’ homes all over Surrey.
Our bird boxes have been proving very popular!
Fantastic fireworks on Saturday 8th November – marred only slightly by the constant, driving rain!
June took us to some horse trials in Rackham where we were the show jumping arena team. That meant that we were responsible for fixing the jumps if they were knocked down without getting in the way of the horses that were travelling at some speed round the arena! We were so professional that other event organisers have enquired about us helping with their events in the future.
The two days included: the bun run, several ice creams (for one person in particular), Pippa Funnel, Kelly asking Phili lots of obscure questions about horses, the economics of bouncy castles and quite a lot of sun cream.
We also took the time to set up the Tanzania teams very own Instagram account so please search for and follow us: 7thepsomafrica
June team building saw the group minibuses get their annual wash before we headed over to the Stoneleigh Broadway Fun Day where we helped out by providing first aid cover and traffic management.
The first aider was the first casualty when a rose bush attacked them from nowhere!
The team took the opportunity to do some fundraising and we had a stall with a chocolate tombola, which went so well it sold out!
Well done guys!
A great job was done by all of the 7th Epsom Tanzanian Scouts today when we did a marathon 6 hours of bag packing at Sainsbury’s in Kiln Lane, Epsom.
Kelly managed to get hold of a wonderfully soft Giraffe onesie and there was a rota of Scouts having a go at wearing it.
Izzie and Lottie even managed to convince Neil to wear it too
We also managed to persuade a few members of the public to let us pack their weekly shop for them and, as always, the Epsom public were amazingly generous.
Thank you everyone.
Here’s the pic you were all waiting for…
